FAQ

About my work, website structure, and how I share information

Philosophy & Approach

What is the purpose of this website?

Through sections like Journal and Favorite, I hope to share the ideas, values, and perspectives that shape my work.
Rather than broadcasting to a large, anonymous audience, my intention is to offer a deeper look—something for those who already connect with my music and wish to understand the thoughts behind it.

Why don’t you use social media actively?

I have reservations about using social media as a primary platform.
Each platform has its own expectations and context, and trying to fit into those frameworks feels restrictive.
Not aligning with them, on the other hand, risks creating misunderstandings about who I am.

If I were to use social media more actively, it would likely be for sharing content that is easy for a wide audience to absorb.
But translating my music and ideas into that format may distance them from the world I aim to create, and that is something I’m cautious about.

Do you share everyday, personal updates?

I’m unsure whether there is a real demand for that, so I generally avoid it.
If there were many requests, I might share more—but likely in limited, private spaces for listeners who truly want to be there, rather than openly on social platforms.

How can I support your work?

The greatest support is simply listening to the music.
If my work resonates with you, purchasing on bandcamp, following the Community there, or leaving comments on YouTube means a lot.
But quiet appreciation—from a distance—is also more than enough.
Thank you for spending time with the music.

Music Activities & Content

What kind of content do you share on YouTube?

I mainly upload music videos, performance videos, and live recordings.

Do you make talking or commentary-style videos?

I’m not very comfortable speaking directly to the camera.
If there is a strong interest in that type of content, I might try it in the future.

Where can I listen to your music?

All of my works are available on bandcamp.
A selection of tracks is also available on streaming platforms.
On YouTube, I post performance videos—including pieces that haven’t been officially released yet.

Do you sell physical formats like CDs?

At the moment, I only offer digital downloads through bandcamp.
But I’m interested in creating physical editions, so I plan to do so eventually.
Since most people listen online today, I intend to choose the most suitable format for each release while continuing to use bandcamp.

Why do you use Bandcamp?

bandcamp feels like the place where musicians and listeners can be closest.
It allows me to share music in higher quality, and purchases directly support my work.
It’s a platform that values both artists and the people who care about their music.

Where can I learn more about the themes or worlds behind the music?

Each piece has its own imagery or sense of story, but I prefer not to define those too strictly.
I want listeners to explore their own inner landscapes freely.
Sometimes I talk about these ideas during live performances, but only as gentle guidance—not fixed interpretations.

If you’d like to know more individually, I’m happy to answer.
And if many listeners express interest, I may share more in the Journal section.

Who do you imagine listening to your music?

Perhaps those who enjoy turning inward— people who like to sit quietly with their thoughts, or drift through their own imagination.
For moments away from noise and urgency, these pieces may offer a place to rest.

Work & Inquiries

Do you perform live?

At the moment, I don’t perform actively.
I play only a few times a year, usually when invited to specific events.

I can compose, perform, appear at events, or teach—anything related to the guitar.

Can I use your music for film, stage, or other projects?

In general, I’m open to such uses.
However, please refrain from using the music without permission.
If you wish to use it, Contact me first to discuss the project.

Do you accept collaboration requests?

Equipment, Production & Technical Notes

What instruments and equipment do you use?

I mainly play a Lowden O-50c acoustic guitar.
For collaborations or band settings, I sometimes choose different guitars depending on the sound environment.
I also use electric guitars and nylon-string guitars.
Effects and recording equipment vary from project to project.
If you’re curious about specific details, feel free to contact me directly.

Updates & Communication

Where can I find updates about your activities?

News about live performances and releases is shared only through my Mailing List (Posts are currently written in Japanese, but they are open to anyone who follows).
This is because most of my current activities take place within Japan.

If I perform outside Japan in the future, I plan to announce those events through the Bandcamp Community.
Release updates are also posted there, so following me on bandcamp is the best way to stay informed.

What do you share on Bandcamp Community?

I post information about new releases, upcoming live shows, and occasional personal updates.
Messages are not frequent—I prefer to communicate quietly, only when there is something meaningful to share.

I have a question or idea that isn’t listed here. How can I reach you?

Please contact me through the Contact page.
