"Reconstruction"

A narrow circle of relationships is enough.

I’ve never understood the idea of being “broad and shallow.”

And even a narrow circle doesn’t necessarily mean depth.

Those people who talk with someone briefly and instantly call them a friend—

I can’t relate to that at all.

Meanwhile, there is this feeling of “I don’t feel real.”

That is a problem.

And so, I decided to reconstruct this website.

When I lived in Ireland,

I used to write small diary-like entries here.

At some point I hid them away.

But speaking through words still feels grounding.

It’s strange how that works.

Beethoven said:
“Depiction belongs to painting. In this respect, even poetry may be said to be happier than music.”
(from ベートーヴェンの生涯, Iwanami Bunko)

Making music without lyrics teaches you that sound is merely a medium.

Music with singing carries words.

Music without words exists only as sensation.

That sensation is everything—

yet it is also a medium through which the self behind it is conveyed.

This lack of realness—

that is a problem.

A place where existence has a scent.

People’s tastes will vary. That is good.

But it was necessary.

There is no need to be loved by everyone.

A small circle is enough.

You may remain in the shallows—

but if there is no depth, that would be my own lack of sincerity.
